Valentine’s Day 2026 at the University of Wrocław – four perspectives, one emotion
An article titled Valentine’s Day 2026 – four perspectives, one emotion has been published on the University of Wrocław website, presenting love from a scholarly, interdisciplinary perspective.
Among the invited contributors is a member of the Digital Musicology Lab, MA Marianna Siatkowska, who discusses the symbolism of love in music. In her contribution, she highlights that music has long been one of the most powerful carriers of emotion, and that themes of love can be expressed not only through text, but also through sound, instrumentation, and performance context.
The material demonstrates how love can be examined from multiple angles—from biological and cultural perspectives to musical—emphasising the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in research.
We encourage you to watch the video on the University of Wrocław’s YouTube channel and listen to MA Marianna Siatkowska’s contribution.
